十月十六日布克獎公佈得獎作品了,書名The Gathering”,作者Anne Enright -45歲,來自愛爾蘭Dublin,是當今第2位獲得布克獎的第2位愛爾蘭女性.

上了themanbookerprize官網看了一下消息,主席Howard Davies是這麼說的 “a powerful, uncomfortable and even at times angry book”,這種說法還蠻強烈地,好奇心很容易被挑起來,還提到,進入longlist時大家並沒特別看好這部作品,但要再從中選出shortlist,更進而到最後得獎名單,這時, “It is a very intense piece of writhing which does repay re-reading.”,就看得出功力了. 不過最後關頭The Gathering獲勝是一致通過. 說到這兒,我想不看不行了!
