還在懊惱沒看到大螢幕,就在出租店看到片子了,二話不說,當晚馬上看!

看著Ben(Rupert Grint)的雇主,心想我一定知道她是誰,但就是想不起來,一查,就是哈利波特中榮恩的媽,拜Harry Potter之賜,英國大卡演員幾乎都參與Harry Potter的演出,每每看到英國出品的電影,都會有似曾相識的臉孔出現.在這部"人生駕駛課"中,兩位如祖孫般的情誼比在Harry Potter中的母子感情更勝一籌.

Ben來自一個拘謹奇怪的家庭,teenage的叛逆不敢外揚,暑期的打工,碰上了影響他一生的過氣老演員Evie由(Julie Walters飾演),兩人間的對話有著滿滿的英國調,文學不能少,Shakespear不能不提,Edinburgh不能不造訪,Nick Drake憂鬱但舒服的聲音不能不響起,就這麼純樸的構成一堂雋永的人生課程.
這一段是我從trailer中穿插的片段裏抄下來的:

All Ben wanted was a job,
All Evie needed was a friend,
Now,he's learning
Some valuable lessons
Life lessons,
Love lessons,
Driving lessons.

聊到"朋友",若這朋友的年紀是奶奶的歲數,你聊得來嗎?Ben從開始好似跟怪婆婆渡過的6個小時中生存著,到Evie婆婆隨興唸起一段詩,及在後院要Ben跟她一起來段即興的劇碼,Ben慢慢地被帶入戲劇中的人生,他笑了!婆婆稱讚他:You were born to it!這是多大的啟發呀!兩人休息著,聊著天,Ben聊起他在學校的戲劇經驗,講到戲中要假裝勒死一個人,

Evie說:"The thing is you don't understand the jealousy bit till you actually strangle someone yourself. There,you'll see. The Poetry, the Pain."

浪漫和痛楚是巒生兄妹,詩是母親,父親則是那記錄這一切的鵝毛筆.Evie用詩,鼓勵Ben,激發Ben的潛能.她的心因喪子之痛,過了半百痛楚依在,她迫切須要一個朋友,一個懂她語言的朋友,
Evie to Ben: "You have the soul of a poet,and that lasts a great deal longer than books. You're my poet. You understand the power of words."她用這句話讓Ben了解他的存在及美麗,更讓自己從孤傲中解脫;他兩成了無可言語的莫逆之交!

一封Evie寫給Ben的信中題到: Do remember, however odd it all gets, this is only the denouement. The end is up to you. "when the shit hits the fan get a tent"(Evie引用Shakespear的一句話);
講地真好,不用跟自己過不去,要替自己找避風港,一切怪事及不如意,讓它們在外面自己消化吧!

曲終人散時,Ben拿著他的一首free verse前來向Evie道別,沒有感傷但還是充滿詩意,Ben:

Some mysteries I will never understand
the way the earth rotates around the sun,
three minutes short of every day,
or the way the dead are gone
like putting down the phone
or turning a corner.

The future, that's another whopper.
We can never know what we can never know.
Except that whoever you are and whoever I am.

You made it all right to me.

最後那句You made it all right to me.好感動.回報了Evie曾對他說過的: You're my poet.
